i've been going to this shop for over a year now. today, i was highly disappointed in the owner. after waiting for more than an hour and a half, i was rushed into her chair. thinking i would get superior customer service because, again, she is the owner, and i and my daughter are regulars there, i sat down feeling that i would be taken care of properly and professionally. i was wrong.

before i sat down in her chair, she had just finished a lady's manicure. when i sat down, she put her hands out to begin work. i looked at her and looked at the towel covering her table-top and asked her if she was going to change it (as it had the other lady's cuticle/skin clippings all over it). she abruptly snatched it from the table and began to work on my hands on a "naked" station. i was like fine, that's better than working on top of someone else's dead skin (although i still found it odd her being "too busy" to simply get up, get a clean towel, and cover the station top).

she worked quickly, filing some nails twice, others only once. in her haste, she cut my finger with the drill, left some nails filed unevenly then blamed the poor quality on my being used to another's tech's style of work. uh, no, wrong! good technique and quality is good technique and quality--simple and plain--no matter who does it. the whole time she was on the phone taking calls from customers and family, greeting and checking in customers while she was doing my nails. her undivided attention and focus on quality was non-existent.

i got an overlay done; when i called it to her attention that acrylic on three of the nails was already "flaking up" on the side, she sighed deeply and quickly half-drilled over them. i had already showed her that one of the nail tips wasn't even covered completely in acrylic! totally upset with the dissatisfaction, she told me that she had been doing nails 15 years and it only takes her 15 minutes to do a fill. i told her i believe in efficiency of time as well, but i had waited an extremely long time, was a paying customer like everyone else, and expected my money's worth. she messily slapped the cuticle oil across my nails and told me to come back the following day--the whole time trying to also hurry up to get to other customers. uh, really, lady? get a life, i have things to do and no long hours to spend in a near-unsanitary shop (have you saw the jars of sterilizer that look as if they haven't been cleaned in months??) i was so upset with her and her poor level of professionalism, i didn't even let her paint my nails. her daughter finished painting my baby's nails and we left. i will NEVER go back to this shop again. the owner only sees each customer as a dollar figure and a small measure of time. i will no longer be just a piece of cattle being herded in her money-making arena. she only sees customers as heads with a price on them, nothing more nothing less. now i also see why many of her best employees have left, and others hesitate to sit down in her chair.

I had my nails done for the first time here. (Solar) They were HORRIBLE. I will never go back ever again. The lady rushed through the process making the nails uneven all around. The white tips were all different sizes and when I pointed out that she was filing them uneven she said it was my finger!

Manicures should NOT HURT. I felt like I was in the movie hostel. All these tools and instruments of PAIN!! She was rough and did not care if I liked her work or not.

NOT WORTH IT! Pay the 5 extra bucks to get your nails done somewhere professional!!
