UNIX Internals/ Logical Volume Manager Expert

CTG is searching for a UNIX Internals/ Logical Volume Manager Expert for a long term / ongoing W2 contract position at a Fortune 50 company in Austin, TX. Needed Immediately!!! Position Description:

Searching for an Expert UNIX Engineer with strong knowledge of Volume Manager(s) to provide final level AIX support. The right individual will have a strong understanding of C language in order to work with source code, will have kernel development background, and application debugging experience in C (using dbx), and most importantly will have expert level LVM internals knowledge (on any UNIX platform). This person will provide senior level support for the AIX OS Support Team by understanding client problems and recreating in a lab environment, performing troubleshooting efforts, and creating temporary and/or permanent fixes. This person will concentrate on LVM internals issues. This is a highly visible role in a stable environment. Contract is ongoing in nature and rate is wide open. Our client is only interested in candidates who possess a VERY strong understanding of the internals of a UNIX based Volume Manager.



Individual must be able to work onsite in Austin, Monday – Friday, normal work week.
