Software Test Technician





Multimedia Games is a leading supplier of interactive systems, electronic games, and player terminals for the Native American gaming market, as well as the growing casino, charity bingo and video lottery markets. Multimedia designs and develops networks, software and content that provide its customers with comprehensive gaming systems delivered through a telecommunications network that links its player terminals with one another both within and among gaming facilities. The Company’s ongoing development and marketing efforts focus on Class II and Class III gaming systems and products for use by Native American tribes throughout the United States, video lottery systems and other products for domestic and international lotteries, and products for charity bingo opportunities.





Job Description














Individual will be part of a fun, dynamic team responsible for the development, testing and documentation of distributed network gaming applications. Candidate will be required to test cutting edge software applications using state-of-the-art tools.





Responsibilities will include applying software engineering principles in the test, verification and integration of component software products. The candidate will participate in full life cycle software development in a distributed environment. Primary duties are planning, conducting, and documenting system tests, documenting system defects, conducting regression tests, and performing other software quality control functions.





Education











A.A., A.S. or B.S. in Computer Science, Engineering or Management Information Systems or related field preferred.





Required Skills








Ideal candidate will be able to develop, perform, and document software test procedures. Candidate must understand software configuration management and requirements verification procedures and have experience documenting test results. The ability to follow-through with the developers or customers and explain system deficiencies, requirement, or features. Individual must be a self-starter, detail oriented, and possess strong interpersonal skills. Individual must have a strong technical foundation and possess the ability to work independently as well as in a team environment to complete objectives. Should be a fast learner of new technologies and a creative thinker.





Desired Skills











Knowledge of Microsoft SQL, Windows operating systems (Server 2003, XP), understanding of networking fundamentals, as well as a high comfort level working with computer hardware and software in general. Experience with automated test tools, such as WinRunner, QuickTest or Rational Robot preferred. Working knowledge of TestDirector management tool is also desired.
